Not exactly coupledom heaven as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong it would be lovely to have your mum still wash your clothes and cook you dinner. Doesn't exactly prepare you though for living with a partner on your own. This sounds more like an adult sleepover...GREAT we can stay up late. Just have to stay fully clothed. "Hi Mum she just seems to have something in her eye".
Seems a bit strange but if you think about it, quite a clever plan.
Why pay huge rents to in the hope to find yourself, or each other, and in the hope that the try before you buy method is perfect.
The fact is with lenders making the criteria to borrow harder than ever before it will take you like 30 years to save enough of a deposit to buy.
So...
Stay at home, live with your parents and move your parter in.
You are kind of killing 2 birds with 1 stone. On the one hand you are experiencing the "lite" version of living with a partner and on the other hand you save money. And if the relationship works whilst living with the in laws then your relationship is meant to be.
This could really give you the leg up needed to save for a deposit to become the elusive
